About Synaptic Integration Therapy™

Synaptic Integration Therapy™ (SIT) is a trauma-informed healing method that blends the science of psychotherapy with the wisdom of the body and energy systems.

Rooted in nervous system regulation, somatic practices, and subconscious healing, SIT helps clients gently access and process stored trauma, stress, and emotional patterns — not just through talk, but through embodied transformation.

This approach draws from evidence-based modalities including somatic yoga, hypnotherapy, breathwork, energy healing, and EFT tapping — all brought together in a structured yet intuitive way.

SIT was developed to meet clients where they are — mind, body, and soul — and empower them to reconnect with their inner strength, regulate their nervous systems, and experience deep, lasting healing.

Why It Works: Healing in a Relaxed State

One of the core principles of SIT is that healing happens most effectively when the nervous system is calm and the mind is in a receptive, relaxed state of awareness — often associated with the Alpha brainwave state.

In this state:

  • The thinking mind softens, making space for deeper emotional healing

  • The brain shifts from high-alert (Beta waves) into Alpha waves, linked to openness, calm, and emotional access

  • Clients are better able to reach the subconscious, process memories, and rewire old patterns

  • The body feels safe enough to release stored tension and trauma

SIT gently supports clients in entering and staying in this relaxed, integrative state — through breath, touch, imagery, movement, and presence. From here, therapeutic work becomes more intuitive, less overwhelming, and deeply effective.

Meet the Founder – Dagmar Buerger

Hi, I'm Dagmar.
I'm a psychotherapist, somatic practitioner, and the founder of Synaptic Integration Therapy™ — a trauma-informed method that brings together the science of psychotherapy with body-based, energetic, and subconscious healing.

My approach integrates psychotherapy, somatic yoga, hypnotherapy, breathwork, EFT tapping, and energy healing into a gentle, intuitive, and evidence-informed process. Each session is held in a calm, relaxed state of awareness — where the nervous system can soften, and deeper healing can naturally unfold.

I believe that healing is a sacred, personal journey. My mission is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported as you reconnect with your inner strength, restore nervous system balance, and return to a deep sense of wholeness.

I bring together over a decade of personal and professional exploration in integrative healing. My training blends science-backed psychotherapy with body-based, energetic, and spiritual modalities to support holistic trauma recovery and nervous system regulation.

My Healing Philosophy

I believe that healing doesn’t have to be clinical, overwhelming, or disconnected from the body. It can be gentle, intuitive, and deeply empowering — a return to inner safety, presence, and wholeness. Through SIT, my goal is to support you in reclaiming your nervous system, reconnecting with your true self, and feeling safe in your body again.
